Certified Organic Fresh Tortillas
The Gitto Farm n Kitchen is a somewhat unique business that is completely run by the Gitto Family.
Greg & Carol have been blessed to be able to work together with their children in their family businesses, and now as time keeps rolling, their grandchildren.
Our Past
Our story began with Greg, who had a passion for farming despite working in the construction industry as an electrician for over 20 years. In 2000, he and his family started their journey as dairy farmers and always desired to learn more about organic farming.
With hard work and dedication, they transitioned their land to become certified organic and started growing vegetables. Then in 2011, a long-time friend suggested that they start making tortillas, and they haven’t looked back since.
Today, our tortillas are sold in grocery stores such as Metcalfe’s Market, Willy Street Coop, and Whole Foods Market, all in Madison. We take pride in using only the best organic ingredients and handcrafting our tortillas in small batches to ensure the highest quality and taste.
In 2013 and 2014, we built a licensed baking facility on our farm to continue providing our customers with the best tortillas possible. We believe in providing delicious, healthy food for ourselves as well as for others, and our tortillas are no exception.
Thank you for choosing our organic tortillas, and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
Our Present
Fast forward to today, and their tortilla business has become a family affair. Greg and Carol Gitto, along with their daughter Laura, son-in-law Cody, adopted family member Larry Gabbard, son Tony, grandson Matthew, and granddaughter Lily, all work together in the baking process and deliveries.
Their commitment to hard work and good ethics has helped them to succeed, and they are proud to offer their organic tortillas to customers like you. With each purchase, you’re not only supporting a family-owned business, but also the legacy of a hardworking family that truly believes in providing the best food possible for their customers.
We couldn’t have done it without the help of our amazing children and grandchildren, who have worked with us in all kinds of weather, harvesting greens in the rain and weeding carrots on hot sunny days. We may have had our struggles, but with many hands, the load was lightened.
